Naiara’s Yoga Background

I started to practice yoga as student over 12 years ago. Five years after practicing yoga as a student, trying different types of yoga: Kundalini, Ashtanga and Hata. I ventured to Rishikesh, India to dive deeper into its philosophy, the Vedanta philosophy. It is this lifestyle that truly amazes me, and I really admire. I didn’t have the desire to teach Yoga back then, but rather wanted to experience in my skin what was wisdom, that my soul, mind and body felt right to me. It was all so different than what I had learned growing up, and what was taught in my own culture.

I did my teacher training course in “Hata” Yoga in 2014 with the direct descendants of the Hindu master Suomi Vishnu Devananda and Suomi Sivananda. After that I decided to travel on my own through the country to be able to submerge myself into its culture.

My Life and perception of not only myself, but the world drastically changed after this experience and learning. Once I returned to Madrid I decided to begin teaching and continue with my own studies of Yoga to be able to share with all areas of society such as pregnant women, children, and people with reduced mobility for example.

I’m looking forward to humbly put all my knowledge outside for others so they too can experiment in themselves how yoga is more than just some “activity to improve flexibility”, but if you allow, it can be something that helps you to find peace inside and from that place all your reality can change.
